2 What is personal data?
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. This includes information that you provide to us when using our contact form, including your name, possibly your telephone number, your address. Statistical data that we collect of visitors our websites are not considered personal data because we cannot associate it with a person.
3 What data do we collect?
3.1 Data that you communicate to us for general enquiries
We process your name, contact data (e.g. telephone number, e-mail address, company affiliation and postal address) and all other information that you provide when filling out forms or other data fields on our website in the case of enquiries addressed to us. This includes information you provide when you:
- submit an inquiry about a particular product;
- ask a question or give us feedback.
3.2 General information we collect when using this Website
When you access our website, a series of general data is collected and stored in log files. The types of browsers and versions used, the operating system used by the accessing system, the Internet page from which an accessing system accesses our Internet page (so-called referrers), the resources you access, the date and time of access to the Internet page, an Internet protocol address (IP address), the Internet service provider of the accessing system and other comparable data and information that enable us to avert dangers in the event of attacks on our website can be recorded.
When using this general information, we do not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. This data is required to correctly deliver the contents of our website, to optimize the presentation of the contents of our website, to guarantee the long-term functionality of our website and to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in the event of a cyber attack.
This pseudonymous data is therefore evaluated by us both statistically and with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in order to ultimately ensure a sufficient level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The pseudonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by the person concerned.
3.3 Data that we collect for the analysis of website use and improvement by means of cookies or for advertising purposes
Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, a unique identifier. It consists of a string of characters through which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited websites to distinguish the individual browser of a person concerned from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. For this purpose, your anonymous IP address, information on your operating system, Internet browser and other device details, such as resolution used, are also collected. By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimized in the interests of the user, also to make it easier for users to use our website.
The setting of cookies by our website can be prevented at any time by means of an appropriate setting in the internet browser used and thus can be permanently rejected. Please follow the instructions in the help for your internet browser. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If the user deactivates the playing of cookies in the Internet browser used, not all functions of our website may be fully usable under certain circumstances.
3.3.1 Use of Google Analytics
For the purpose of the need-based design and continuous optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. "("Google"). In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of server request, is transferred to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. This information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website and Internet use for market research purposes and to tailor these Internet pages to meet requirements. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of third parties. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP-addresses are anonymised so that an allocation is not possible (so-called IP masking).
As an alternative to the browser plug-in or within browsers on mobile devices, please click the following link to set an opt-out cookie that will prevent the Google Analytics collection within this site in the future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain, delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again):
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found on the Google Analytics website.
3.3.2 Data we process for advertising purposes with Google Re/Marketing Services
We use the marketing and remarketing services (in short "Google Marketing Services") of Google Inc., 160000, 160000, Inc. on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online services within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. of the German Data Protection Act). DSGVO) the marketing and remarketing services ("Google Marketing Services") of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google").
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement, which guarantees compliance with European data protection laws (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
Google marketing services allow us to display advertisements for and on our website in a more targeted manner in order to present users only with ads that potentially match their interests. For example, if a user sees ads for products that interest him or her on other websites, this is referred to as "remarketing. For these purposes, when you visit our and other websites on which Google marketing services are active, Google executes a code directly from Google and (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). Cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com and googleadservices.com. In this file it is noted which websites the user visits, which contents he is interested in and which offers he has clicked, furthermore technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time as well as further information about the use of the online offer. The IP address of the user is also recorded, whereby we inform within the scope of Google Analytics that the IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area is shortened and only in exceptional cases completely transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address is not merged with the user's data within other Google offers. Google may also combine the above-mentioned information with such information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other websites, the ads tailored to the user's interests may be displayed.
User data is processed pseudonymously within the framework of Google marketing services. I.e. Google does not store and process, for example, the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that, from Google's point of view, the ads are not administered and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about users by Google marketing services is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the United States.
One of the Google marketing services we use is the online advertising program "Google AdWords". In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different "conversion cookie". Cookies cannot therefore be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected through the cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers will know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were directed to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users.
If you wish to object to interest-related advertising by Google marketing services, you can use the setting and opt-out options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.
4 Integration of third-party services and content
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online services within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. of the German Data Protection Act), we use content or service offers from third parties within our website. DSGVO) content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content"). This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content perceive the IP address of the user, since they would not be able to send the content to their browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the contents. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical purposes only. “Pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring web pages, visit times and other information about the use of our online services, as well as may be linked to such information from other sources.
The following presentation provides an overview of third party providers and their contents, along with links to their data protection declarations, which contain further information on the processing of data and, in some cases already mentioned here, possible objections (so-called opt-out):
